A person who contaminated treats with sedative and distributed them to minors at a summer camp in the area has pleaded guilty to sexual offences against two children both nine and ten years old.
The accused was arrested after eight youngsters and an older person fell ill at the facility in mid-summer.
The 76-year-old, from the Nottinghamshire area, admitted guilt to a series of 17 offences when he stood at Leicester Crown Court on the end of the week.
However, he disputed one particular crime he was accused of, which was concerning a nine-year-old child.
The accused was kept in jail before a further hearing on late November.

The legal representative added: "Recently" his family member had worries about the situation, for good reason.
"They resolved" to examine in the individual's items."
The legal counsel explained materials including baby oil, ointment and syringes were found, and his stepchild alerted the police about his worries.
She explained the defendant went on to engage in the "sweet game" with six youngsters that night - Saturday 26 July - and they were all ill the following morning.
"The police had not gone out by that stage," she stated further.
The oversight body, the Independent Office for Police Conduct, had stated that it was investigating Leicestershire Police's handling of the incident.
The prosecutor explained the youngsters were having difficulty walking due to being ill, so the family member called the authorities a second time.
